BooklynPUBLISHING

Independent American press, publishing since 2023

We finish books.

Booklyn Publishing takes a finished manuscript and hands back a print-ready 6 × 9 interior, a full-wrap cover cut to your printer's exact dimensions, a validated EPUB3, and an audiobook master. Files that pass on the first upload, not the fourth.

Three ways a book leaves this building

Pick the one that matches where your manuscript actually is today.

Published by Booklyn

We acquire for our own imprints. You keep your name on the spine, we carry the production cost, editorial direction and listing work, and royalties are paid on net receipts.

Produced for you

You own the ISBN, the imprint and 100% of the royalties. We do the typesetting, cover, ebook, audio and metadata as work for hire, and hand you the files and the listings.

Fix what's broken

A rejected cover file, a failing EPUB, a print proof with the margins wrong. Send us the files and the printer's error message and we will tell you what's actually wrong before you pay anything.

Describe the problem

Seven imprints, one production floor

Every list is edited by people who read in that category. The typesetting standard is the same across all of them.

Booklyn Americana

American lives told straight — the founders of rock and roll, frontier faith, outlaws and inventors.

Booklyn Scripture

Verse-by-verse study guides that stay in the text instead of talking around it.

Booklyn Devotion

Daily readings, prayer books and comfort writing for people in the middle of something hard.

Booklyn Field

Trades, tools and practical skills, written by people who have done the work.

Booklyn Civics

American history and government, sourced to the primary documents.

Booklyn Voices

Memoir and narrative nonfiction, including the stories nobody else wanted to publish.

Booklyn Audio

Narration-ready scripts and finished audiobook masters for every title on the list.

From manuscript to listing

Five stages. You see proofs at three of them and nothing gets uploaded without your sign-off.

Read and assess

We read the whole manuscript, not the first chapter. You get a written assessment: category, comparable titles, word count against format, and the specific work the book still needs.

Edit

Developmental notes first, then line editing, then proofreading against a style sheet built for your book. Scripture quotations are checked against the stated translation.

Typeset and design

Interior set to trim with running heads, a two-pass table of contents and correct front and back matter. The cover is built as a single full-wrap PDF at the printer's computed dimensions with bleed.

Convert and validate

EPUB3 built from the edited text and run through epubcheck until it passes clean. Audiobook script prepared with pronunciation notes, then recorded and mastered to retail loudness spec.

List and launch

Metadata, categories, keywords, description and author profile written for search, plus a sales page and a thirty-day promotion kit you can actually post.

Standards we do not move

Files pass on the first upload

Spine width is computed from page count and paper stock, plus the cover-stock allowance printers require and most templates leave out. The barcode zone stays clear. Bleed is on all four sides.

The cover math, in full

Ebooks are validated, not assumed

Every EPUB is run through epubcheck. A cover image that a reader app cannot reach is a failure even when the file opens on your laptop, so we build the cover as an explicit spine item.

Our pre-typeset checklist

You keep your rights straight

Contracts name the territory, the term, the formats and the royalty base in plain sentences. Work-for-hire production means you own everything we make for you.

Read the terms

Public domain is verified

Historical photographs and quoted source material are traced to a verifiable public-domain status before they go near a cover. No stock-site assumptions.
